About Us   (c) Enchant Film      Back      Overall we're a modern team of adults all ages with media production experience going back up to 25 years which we share with our team members. Befitting our name, as film subjects permit we aim to create a measure of interest, fascination and delight in our film content. We welcome commissions which receive production priority.     Enchant Film recently formed pulls together various production strands running since the millennium. Having in depth skills and top end production facilities in house makes us remarkably cost efficient. Straightfoward film work from £400 per day inclusive of Post Production (editing and audio up to 4K UHD HDR).   Our key driver is good research, passion and sensitivity for interpreting the subject with great visual and audio skills to present compelling content. We don't do vanilla, unless you insist.      Contact Us      Two example films that stand to illustrate this are Baba Yetu (2020) and No2CPZ (2007), both very different and strong in their own way, briefly: The Baba Yetu (2020) production was encouraged by the composer Christopher Tin who kindly provided his original music for Covid Lock Down choir productions. But of course no one could meet up to sing, thus technical skill was highly important. A way round the difficulties was found to see nearly 400 individuals singing together effectively in real time on screen (we believe a world first at the time). There was very strong passionate dedication from all involved in this production.   In No2CPZ (2007) passion came first, a community almost entirely seriously upset by their Council “making up false claims” as many saw it to “impose a destructive” on families revenue earning parking scheme where “none was necessary”. The spur of the moment film elements record the communities anger and total engagement in driving their public right to a local referendum with a “92% vote against the CPZ” (a record) and “unanimous defeat” of the Authority in the call for a referendum. There's more detail on these and other productions in our lengthy media section.   Britain's Excellence On Film   The two films above record outstanding excellence in a greatly troubled community and the other a community of 100's of individual singers locked down during Covid round the world, also the production team. No effort was spared to make Baba Yetu a production of excellence to rival regular top end choirs in normal times, an outstanding achievement. These two films are simply a very small sample of many films of individuals excellence.   Excellence can be found everywhere including outstanding: Creativity, Activities, Sport, Views, Places, Events, Festivals, Markets, Fetes, Shows, Entertainment, Local High Streets, Food and Accommodation. Occasionally we receive admiration and praise for our work, recently the NMTF kindly expressed their gratitude for our film work in the their September events at Stratford upon Avon, see the image opposite.   Excellence in Small Towns   The excellence in small towns is missed by much of the public and is particularly worthy of exposure, this naturally helps the economy. Some of our work helping improve small town footfall includes lifting the image of high street shops which can rekindle interest in small town High Streets. The following 4 of 1000's of our images may provide food for thought. These illustrate how shops can look attractive to the eye early evening or on screen or in print.     Similarly with outstanding products in local markets, fairs, fetes and festivals brought to wider public attention, especially excellent things made locally, as seen below.     Film Suggestions and Commissions are Welcome   We welcome suggestions for films within our limits for consideration, commissions naturally take priority. It helps if those proposing provide some detail of the story and activity they see being on film. This helps us in the initial creative assessment and outline planning.   Production Team(s)   Generally each member of a production team meets up for production shoots and film work on location. Modern methods and technology makes the industry highly efficient, the old style traditional studios are rare and the few remaining mainly specialise in very large and expensive productions. We focus almost entirely on real world, believing it's important to keep a good measure of reality in the public mindset, especially for the young who've lived largely within their social media bubble.   New Team Members Welcome   We are always open to new team members with something to contribute, beginners included, within our support limits. Please click our Join Us button on the front (home) page for further details.   State of The Art Equipment   We have outstanding know how and state of the art digital HDR film equipment and editing facilities (kept in safe store), there's almost nothing we can not do, it's not possible to show our broad capability in this space.   For those relatively new to creative film work, high quality cameras with fixed lens and long zoom range offer instant flexibility in changing scenes, creatives can react instantly to catch key moments. The following images illustrate such an occasion. This fixed Leica lens shown is capable of an optical zoom from 24mm (wide) to 490mm (telephoto) by 35mm standards and macro mode for closeups at 10cm.     Here's the 2019 audio edit and effects screen, part of our DaVinci Resolve Studio system which controlled the 400 vocal tracks for Baba Yetu. As the Producer says: 'Hollywood's most powerfull editing tools for professional editing, colour correction, visual effects and audio production'.     Good Sound   It's absolutely essential to capture the best sound. We have and use what are effectively top end zoom microphones with the ability to pick up mainly what they point at. We add a high quality furry wind screen which defeats wind noise like those below.     These are typically used in stereo pairs or groups subject to task and connected to camera or mixer by balanced line or wireless.      Back
